Thread Crochet Centerpiece - Making It Bigger - A Work-In-Progress

Ruth Sandra Sperling
RSS Designs In Fiber - My Handmade Designs on ARTFIRE and ETSY

A "Work-In-Progress", yes -- but I took a simple round Doily and am adding Rounds and Rounds to make it Bigger -- and a bit more Graphic and I think a little more dramatic -- and Better for a Centerpiece!!

Done with Garnet Red, Christmas Green and Pure White, it is designed with the Winter Holidays in mind -- a popular color theme that I have Sold quite a bit in.

The Rounds I am adding include a Ring of 32 Red Flowers - and Graphic Rounds in White and Green (with a little more Red) to show off the Flowers.

The photos above and below were taken when I was working on the Ring of 32 Flowers  (which actually involved 3 Rounds).

It is made in very fine DMC Pearl Cotton size 12 -- there is a lot of detail and I like using the very fine thread, as it shows off the graphic design so well!

Not sure how big it will end up -- but I think between 14 and 20 inches in diameter, which will be a good size for a Centerpiece on a Holiday table -- or just any table for entertaining!!

Below is a closeup - more closely showing the inner Ring of 16 Red Flowers - and the outer Ring, which will be of 32 Red Flowers.

Working on it now -- to get it up Online -- early for the Winter Holiday season, which is after all, the most popular time of the year for Red & Green!!
