I have always made a variety of things - since I started making things as a child.  Different crafts, different colors, different materials -- different ideas!!  Always sort of looking for something new and fun -- but also maybe somewhat practical, as well as deocrative!!

Now I work mostly in Fibers - from very fine threads to chunky yarns or hemp.

And some of what I make are Personal Accessories -- either just for decoration -- or to make something colorful as well as practical.

But everything adds some kind of color -- or fiber art -- to life!!

Very often I make what I see as something that might be Useful -- and Enjoyable --- but then you never know what other people might be looking for.  These little Personal Accessories I sort of make "on a whim".  Some have liked them enough to buy them!!

Spring - Ah-h-h!!  Just the mention of it brings to mind the warmth of sunnier days after the cold, more barren winter months -- and with those, the RE-GROWTH that comes with the warmth and the rains and melting snows!!  Budding leaves on trees -- blooming flowers in the fields!!

3D Roses And Shamrocks

Nature, for me, is a big part of life -- so are its seasons!!

I walk in all the seasons, though in the more extreme weather days, I tend to be more careful & end up staying inside more.

The two seasons between the more extreme seasons are Spring & Autumn (Fall) and the changes in them, with all the associated colors and smells, are my favorite!!

After the recent rains in the eastern Antelope Valley, as I walk through the wild fields, there is a wild plant with little purple flowers on bright green foilage spread out all over -- last week I saw my first cottontail rabbit since Winter - racing for the safety of a bush (and probably the rabbit nest underneath it).  It all makes me smile!!!

These little things in Nature give me much joy (and have all my life, since I was a little girl walking home from school) -- and this Joy is reflected in my DESIGNS IN FIBER!!

Above is a photo of my most recent sale of a Clover or Shamrock Design that sold.  It is another theme in my Designs In Fiber that has sold quite a bit over the years!!

This 3-Foot Long Table Runner, though, is my most ambitious project!!  I have been blogging and posting about it over the time I worked on it in-between other projects -- I got it done, listed it on Etsy -- and in about 48 hours it was sold, much to my pleasant surprise!!

But I have done Clovers and Shamrocks, both 3-Leaf and 4-Leaf, over the years -- and sold a fair number of designs -- and following are a few pictures of different ones!!

This White & Silver Bag -- Hand-Crocheted by me in my own design - sort-of done as I went along (one of those designs in my head) -- got into the "Great Finds" Poll put on by "On Fire For Handmade"!!

"On Fire For Handmade"  describes how I feel all right.  Always having done Handmade since I was a child, well, some would understand it, but now it is more that something I do "just for fun", even though it is fun.

I do Handmade because I think it is right.  Now, in my life, I have time -- so I'm making all kinds of things for myself and sometimes for others -- things I use to just buy, but now I choose to make them.  But since I am making them, I get to choose the fibers - and the colors - and the sizes, the only drawback is that it takes time -- and for larger things, that can be a lot of time!!  But when something is done, it is worth it!!

Well, not to digress, but the "Great Finds" Poll by "On Fire For Handmade", which is done by "MadeForMebyOaklie" (Anne Hopfer on Facebook) -- is about HANDMADE!!

I "met" the Artfire Artisan, FANTASY CLAY, when I got involved with the Artfire Guild, "You Can Sell It" -- which she is the Guild Master of!!

When I checked out Fantasy Clay's Artfire Studio, I was immediately impressed by the character her clay pieces had, like the Leprechaun in the photo above - ready just in time for St. Patrick's Day!!

He is in the "You Can Sell It" March Green Challenge -- along with a number of other nice Spring Green pieces from Members of this Artfire Guild!!

She has a wonderful variety of Polymer Clay figures - from a selection of Dragons and Unicorns to People and Flowers!!
