-- Get My Handmade in my Bonanza Booth or my Etsy Shop -- or Privately
In doing my Handmade, I like to try different Stitch Patterns and different ideas.
This is the first time I did the Crochet Spike Stitch in a Square.
I think the color combination of Darker Chocolate Brown and a Light Powder Blue is a great contrasting color theme.
Brown is a "composite color" or "tertiary color" and especially the Dark is a "Low Intensity" mix of Red, Yellow - and Black.
The combinations of Red and Yellow in it put it on the opposite side of the "Color Wheel" from Light Blue - meaning that "Chocolate Brown and Powder Blue" are a complementary, contrasting color theme -- and I love to work in such color themes!!!
I'd been looking at this Spike Stitch Square pattern for some time to make something - and I thought this was a good opportunity to do it!! It is on Etsy.
Thank You to Anne Hopfer of On Fire For Handmade for including it in this week's "Brown n Blue Handmade Finds".
Like it??!! Vote for RSS Designs In Fiber in the Poll for this Handmade Finds!! (See bottom of the page at that link!)
